This weekend was an interesting one...I say that because I have been on call for Home Health and Craig worked all weekend (leaves at 5:30am and gets home 8pm). I guess it was a given that we would do Easter at our house as we usually do. Welllllll, I informed everybody of our situation and just told them to bring food and I would leave the door unlocked as there would be a chance that Craig and I may not be there. I could only hope for the best. We got out of church last night at 10:45pm. I got the kids to bed after we got home and did the Easter Bunny thing. Got up this morning about 7:30, started cleaning...by the way, why do people work so hard to clean house before company comes over? C'mon, they know me. We live in this house that usually resembles something like a toy box throwing up. Clean, clean, clean, only for it to get invaded and destroyed in hours and then clean, clean, clean some more. Anyway, we had about 20 people here. My job was nice to me and I only had to leave once. We had lunch, then little kid egg hunt, then big kid egg hunt. It was a great day. I love spending time with family, even if it is somewhat crazy and chaotic, but even better is when the day is over, my house is quiet again and I can sit down!
We call our family "the misfit toys" because we are just an unorganized group of people trying to make it from one day to the next and still laugh about it.

On the bright side?
The only bright side I see is that my babysitter will be back next week. But I'm honestly not sure about that so I dont know if it's bright or not. Sadly, Shell's mom passed away after she broke her leg last week. So this week's childcare has gone like: Craig took off work Monday. I took off Tuesday. Laurie babysat today. Craig is off tomorrow and Friday. Now it may seem like Craig got the shit end of that deal, but I was off last Thursday and Friday. Also Craig works this weekend and I'm on call for home health. This will be a 1st and I'm not sure how its going to work with me being on call, but I suppose I'll find out soon. If I just had a toddler that would go anywhere or stay with anyone. Dangit. I'm glad I have a job and all, but working for a living sucks.
