So Easter was my last post? Yikes. I thought I would be here to journal about my crazy life, but apparently, it's too crazy to take the time to journal. So what have I been doing the last 2 months?
Baseball. Baseball. Baseball. That's what has been going on around our house.
Callan plays major league (little league) and it's been a rough year for him. He thought he was Mr. Baseball and this year, met up with some good pitchers causing him to have a lot more trouble hitting....and also be afraid of those fast balls. (in his defense, he has been hit 3 times by wild pitches or throws).
Hardest thing for this mom...how to handle a kid that has his head hung too low: We want him to toughen up, but yet still love the game. One game, he struck out all 3 times he was at bat. He walked out of the dugout at the end of the game crying...and he cried for 30 minutes after we got home. However, one of his at bats, he stood there staring at the ball, never swung the bat. Now that didn't make his daddy very happy. Long story short, it's been hectic 2 months between baseball practices, batting cages, lessons and games. Hopefully, in the next 2 weeks, we'll be done.
As for little Jack Jack, he's just been a long for the ride, bitching about it most of the way!
