Remember The Incredibles movie? If so, then do you remember baby Jack? My 2 year old, Cade = Jack Jack. If you don't know, you can find out more...Baby Jack Jack. Callan was such a laid back, easy going kid, even through the toddler years. He fooled me because I thought all of my kids would be that easy. Then came Cade. He blasted into this world 6 minutes after we got to the hospital and hasn't slowed down since. He's smart and he has stayed one step ahead of me since his birth. I wanted to share this early on in the blogging so it will make sense as I tell my stories and even refer to Cade as Jack Jack.
We call our family "the misfit toys" because we are just an unorganized group of people trying to make it from one day to the next and still laugh about it.

Last night for example
I get off work at 5pm. By the way, I work for a Home Health company, which is not my true love in nursing. I like critical care, but those hours were not good for family life so I made the switch. I made the sacrifice. I'll whine about that occasionally, but I am glad to be around to take care of my kids more...except when they are acting like little assholes. So anyway, I go pick up Cade at the babysitter. I go pick up Callan from art. We go home and 1st check on our dog that ran away last week. His name is Max and Max has been in a fight or two so we are trying to give him some extra TLC. I'm not a dog lover, but I don't hate them either. This is Callan's dog. Max looks rough. I decide to give him a bath just to clean him up good. WTF was I thinking...my house smelled terrible, like a wet dog of course. Then, I start supper...a Mexican casserole thing. No recipe, just some stuff thrown in a casserole dish and into the oven. I get a phone call from the boss at the assisted living facility saying something was wrong with my mom. I call my sis in law, Laurie to come over. I head out to check on mom, but she was doing better. I stay for a while just to make sure. Then, I get home about 8:30. Craig is home. I grab a couple of bites of supper and then swap clothes from washer to dryer. I clean up the kitchen...kinda. Then start getting the boys ready for bed. Craig has worked the last 8 days and he's tired. No shit. I get it. But I'm kinda tired too. Boys bathed, clothes folded, bedtime for the little guy and yay, finally, I get to sit down too. A day in the life...and that's nothing really.
Where to start
My 1st blog post. I decided to blog because my daily life is anything but ordinary. I am 37 years old. I am an only child. My parents adopted me when I was 10 days old. Dad is a slowly dementing, part crazy, but extremely intelligent retired business man. He was the firm strict type. My mom is my best friend, but suffered from a severe stroke in 2012 leaving her unable to talk or write. She lives in an assisted living facility now. I'm married to Craig...he works out of town. We have 2 boys. Callan is 10 years old and Cade is 2 years old. Big attitude and little attitude in other words. So this is the story of my dysfunctional daily life. That's why I decided to blog. Every day is interesting, whether good or bad, crazy or boring. I should have started this a long time ago, but for some reason, I thought it took a lot of time to start a blog. It didn't. But hindsight....
